THERAPY SUPPORT

THE SUPPORT FAMILIES NEED

The Better Feelings Foundation’s Therapy Fund is a lifeline for children and teens who need mental health support but lack the financial means to access care. With adolescent mental health challenges on the rise, our fund ensures that we can step in when possible when families are struggling to get therapy for their kids due to cost. In 2023, over 20% of minor children were reported by caregivers to need treatment or counseling from a mental health professional, yet many families face steep financial barriers. Our fund directly covers therapy costs for youth who would otherwise go without, prioritizing those from low-income households, underserved communities, and those navigating emotional hardship.

Access to care is not just a matter of availability, it’s a matter of equity. Nearly 21% of youth ages 6 to 17 living in poverty have mental health disorders, and many lack insurance that adequately covers mental or emotional health services (Source: Mental Health America). The Better Feelings Foundation’s Therapy Fund bridges this gap by providing funding to approved families. Every session funded is a step toward healing, resilience, and hope. By supporting this initiative, donors help rewrite the story for youth who deserve to feel better.
